TSDT is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO# 52903) that offers training and assessment services for TLIC3005 Drive heavy combination vehicle, TLIC3004 Drive heavy rigid vehicle and TLIC4006 Drive multi-combination vehicle.
We aren’t like other truck driving schools in ‘Perth, we focus on training better, safer and more confident truck drivers ready to take on their next career challenge.

Learn to drive a bus or truck
TLIC3004 Drive heavy rigid vehicle
Obtaining your HR license in Perth has never been easier thanks to TruckSafe and their tailored one on one training.
Heavy Rigid (HR class) heavy vehicle licences allow you to drive heavy vehicles with three or more axles and a gross vehicle mass greater than 8,000 kg. You will also be allowed to tow a trailer with a maximum GVM of 9,000 kg.
To gain your HR licence you must no longer be a provisional driver and must have held your C class licence for at least 2 years, or a Light Rigid (LR class) or Medium Rigid (MR Class) for at least 1 year.
It is also a Department of Transport requirement that you pass an eyesight test at the commencement of your training. If you usually wear glasses or contact lenses while driving you must be wearing these during the eyesight test.

Learn to drive a Prime Mover & one trailer
TLIC3005 Drive heavy combination vehicle
If you already have an MR or HR licence then a HC (Heavy Combination) is the next step in your truck driving journey
A HC Licence allows you to drive Prime movers with attached single semi-trailer and Heavy Rigid (HR class) vehicles with attached trailer that has a Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) greater than 9,000 kg.
You will also be allowed to tow:
- One other trailer in addition to any trailer or semi-trailer mentioned above, with a maximum GVM of 9,000 kg.
- An unladen converter dolly or low loader dolly as defined in the Road Traffic (Vehicles) Regulations 2014.
To be eligible for your HC truck licence In Western Australia, you must no longer be a provisional driver and have held a C class licence for at least 3 years and a Medium Rigid (MR) or Heavy Rigid (HR) Licence for at least 12 months.

Learn to drive a Road Train & multiple trailers
TLIC4006 Drive multi-combination vehicle
If you are an experienced truck driver who has held a HR or HC licence for at least 12 months then you can start your MC Truck Drivers license course.
The Multi Combination or MC Truck Licence is the pinnacle qualification for the transport industry. A massive responsibility is placed on drivers operating these heavy and extremely powerful vehicles, and employment prospects are diverse.
Multi Combination (MC class) heavy vehicle licences allow you to drive any heavy combination unit towing two or more trailers, each having a gross vehicle mass greater than 9,000 kg.
To gain an MC class licence, you must no longer be a provisional licence holder and have held a Car (C class) licence for at least 3 years, and a Heavy Rigid (HR class) or Heavy Combination (HC class) licence for at least 1 year.
It is also a Department of Transport requirement that you pass an eyesight test at the commencement of your training. If you usually wear glasses or contact lenses while driving you must be wearing these during the eyesight test.
